Posted

Kelly Edward Peissig, lord of ludicrous stories, passed away at age 67 at St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth, MN.

This quick-witted wordsmith was loved by many or grew on the rest of you. His boisterous personality and infectious smile could command a room. He will be deeply missed for his ability to make us laugh, even when we didn't want to.

Kelly was born on September 11, 1957, in Phillips, WI to Herb and Bertha Mae Peissig. He was one of six siblings. Leon Smetak (Nancy), James Smetak, Kathy Krenzke (Wally). Wayne Peissig (Debbie) and Terry Peissig.

He grew up in Phillips and he graduated high school in 1975. He moved to Marenisco and resided there for 25 years where he raised his two daughters, Angel (Adam) and Brittany (Rick). Kelly worked in logging, manufacturing, caretaking and ultimately becoming a master woodworker.

Kelly moved to Land O Lakes, Wisconsin in 2003. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, waking up at 5 a.m. to watch ESPN and spending time with his family and many, many friends.

Kelly was survived by his grandchildren, Kobe, Adriana, Brooklyn, Ciena, Makenna and Kai Noah, the mother of his children and lifelong friend Kathy Bolton (Tom), many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father; brother, Jimmy; nephew, Ian; and his loving companion, Lisa.

Kelly gave in death as he gave in life, he was an organ and tissue donor. His final act of kindness is anticipated to touch the lives of up to 70 people.

There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday Oct. 19th, 2024, at 2 p.m. at: The Alley 4191 County Road B Land O Lakes, WI 54540
