Matthew Alex Ninko, 36, passed away of natural causes, on October 17, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Methodist Center in Rochester, MN.
Matthew was born on July 10, 1988, in Rhinelander, WI to Lynnae Helland and Jerry Ninko. He graduated from Phelps High School in 2006.
Matthew spent many years in the “Northwoods” of Wisconsin where he developed his great love of fishing and hunting. His greatest days were spent on the water catching the big walleye or trout or out in the woods bagging a huge buck.
Matthew loved his animals; he was a dreamer and had ethical and good morals. He had a huge heart and was a help to everyone. Matthew was an amazing wrestler, a fighter, and his red hair even caused him to be a little hot at times!
Matthew left this world much too soon and is survived by his daughter, Laylah May; his parents and stepmother, Jenelle; grandmothers, Norma Schultz of Lakeport, FL and Florence Ninko of Land O’ Lakes, WI; as well as stepsiblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, by many, many friends.
