People interested in serving on a county board, town board or school board have until Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 5 p.m. to file their nomination papers with county or town officials, or the school office.
The nomination window opened Dec. 1.
County boards and some town boards will have supervisors up for re-election this spring. Town boards with five-member boards will have elections for just two supervisor positions. School boards at Northland Pines, Three Lakes and Phelps school districts also have some board members with expiring terms.
The election will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026. If a primary election is necessary, it will take place Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026.
