Oneida County PFAS well sampling ends soon

Posted

The Wisconsin DNR and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) offered thanks to Oneida County residents who sampled their private wells for PFAS during the EPA’s cost-free private well sampling opportunity.

This sampling opportunity started on June 30, 2025, and the funding is going to expire very soon.

Eligible private well owners who wish to sample their well for PFAS through this opportunity must pick up a sample kit by July 26, and return the sample to the laboratory by Aug. 7.

The DNR asks those who have picked up sample kits but who no longer want to sample their private well to return the kit to the DNR Service Center at 107 Sutliff Avenue in Rhinelander.
Well owners can submit questions to dnrdgoneidacountypfas@wisconsin.gov or call 888-626-0605.
