Patrick D. Hoffman, age 70 of St. Germain, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday March 22, 2025, at Rennes Health & Rehab Center in Rhinelander WI.
Patrick was born on October 23, 1954, to Lowell and Eunice Hoffman of Grantsburg, WI and grew up on the family farm.
 
Patrick studied culinary arts and held the position of Chef at such places in the Northwoods as Molgaard’s Indian Lodge, Froelich’s Sayner Lodge and then opening his own Supper Club, Patrick’s Club 155 in Sayner, WI. He retired from McGregor’s Blink Bonnies Supper Club. 
Patrick married Cynthia on October 12, 1996, in Eagle River and he officially joined a family that had loved him for years. They enjoyed 28 years of marriage filled with joy, time spent together and time with family. 
Patrick was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, along with the Minnesota Twins, enjoyed watching baseball, football, and basketball games. He also enjoyed spending time outside, gardening, bird watching and nature photography. 
He was known for creating the recipe for Pat’s Northwoods BBQ Sauce and he and his wife enjoyed traveling around the state of Wisconsin selling it a variety of markets and craft fairs. 
Patrick is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hoffman; children, Anna Polack, Mark Stapleton Jr. and Rebecca (Patrick) Kelly; grandchildren, Yvonne, Jasmine (Michael), Hunter, Claire, Wayne; soon to come great grandson, Henry; along with siblings, Tom (Karen) Hoffman, Virginia (Mike) Benusa, Cathy Olmshied and Mary Ann Hoffman and many nieces and nephews. He was a friend of Bill W. for 26 years. 
We remember Patrick as kind generous man, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will always be loved by so many people. 
Services for Patrick will be held at 11am on Saturday May 3, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church (8950 Hwy J, Woodruff, WI). Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Luncheon to follow at the church.
