Praise in the Pines, the annual Christian music festival held at Northland Pines High School Field House, received a $1,000 donation last week from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
The contribution will help bring a lineup featuring the iconic Christian rock band Newsboys to this year’s event.
The donation underscores the church’s dedication to nurturing faith and community through music. A representative from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church expressed excitement, saying, “I’m so excited about the Newsboys — they were a huge part of my faith formation growing up. I have seen them in person three times, and I am thrilled to see them live in my home area.”
While this support marks a significant step forward, Praise in the Pines organizers emphasized that more help is needed.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church,” an event spokesperson said, “but we still need other area churches to come on board to make this year’s show a success.”
The festival, known for its uplifting performances and communal spirit, relies on the generosity of local congregations to thrive.
With the backing of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Praise in the Pines is off to a strong start, but the call is out for additional support to ensure a memorable celebration of faith and music in Eagle River this year.
Praise in the Pines is a one-day, family-friendly music fest dedicated to celebrating faith through music and inspirational speakers.
It was held at the Northland Pines High School Fieldhouse last summer and is slated to return to Eagle River on Saturday, July 19. The Christian rock band Newsboys is set to headline the event.
