Pumpkin Fest returns Oct. 10

Posted

The Three Lakes Fire Department Auxiliary will host its 33rd annual Pumpkin Fest Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Three Lakes High School.

The fall event will feature more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, a farmers market, raffle prizes and event merchandise.

“Though some of the craft vendors may be the same, we always have new vendors joining,” event coordinator Tanya Welcenbach said.

Food offerings will include homemade soups, pies, caramel apples, cinnamon rolls, other baked goods and beverages. The auxiliary prepares the soups and about 90% of the items on its 45-foot bakery table, while outside vendors provide the cinnamon rolls and caramel apples.

Admission is free.

Held annually on the second Saturday in October, Pumpkin Fest serves as a fundraiser for the Three Lakes Fire Department Auxiliary.

“Proceeds support our local fire department by buying equipment, supplies and paying for training,” Welcenbach said.
