Robert D. Egan, age 81, passed away Monday October 21, 2024, in the care of Aspirus Hospital Wausau.
Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 13, 1943, to Robert and Margaret Egan.
Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley; son, Mike (Kate) Egan of Eagle River, WI; daughter, Kat of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Teah and Cian; great-grandsons, Dechlan and Copeland; brother, Jim (Gina) Egan; niece, Kate; nephew: Jim; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Gelling.
Bob was a community minded individual who donated his time to both Eagle River, Vilas County and the Nicolet College Board.
A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday October 29, 2024, at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral home in Eagle River, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nicolet College in Rhinelander WI.
