Robert F. Mueller, (Bob), of Three Lakes, WI, and Webster Groves, MO, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri, after a short illness.
Born on August 5, 1942, in South St. Louis, he was the son of Robert Herman Mueller and Grace Amico Mueller, spouse of Martha Grove, and one of four children.
Bob was a trusted financial advisor for over 50 years, remaining actively involved in his field until his final days. He advised countless clients over the years, treating everyone like family. Bob was a generous and loving son, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor. He had a sharp wit, a marvelous sense of humor, a keen interest in history, and a photographic memory for dates and numbers.
In 1996, Bob and Martha acquired a four-cabin resort on Big Stone Lake in Three Lakes, which they operated for the next 18 years. Hundreds of people enjoyed vacationing at their cabins, which were some of the best years of their lives. They sold the resort in 2014 and moved to a house on Deer Lake, the next lake over in the world's largest chain of lakes.
Bob was extremely passionate about caring for animals. Throughout his life, he advocated for and donated to many animal care organizations. He and Martha welcomed many animals into their home over the years. Bob was a loving and caring person who will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and Martha, the love of his life for 47 years. He was completely devoted to her from the day they met and admirably cared for her during a three-year illness. We find comfort in knowing they are finally together again.
He is survived by siblings Jimmy (Carolyn) Mueller, Patty (Dave) Veitmeier, Mary Flanery, and nephew John (Sue) Flanery, and niece Kelly (Brad) Schaffer, and many dear friends.
Special thanks to Vicky and Bill Sherry, for their help and friendship of many years.
Contributions in his memory to a charity of your choice to benefit animals, would be greatly appreciated.
