Wiedenbauer Builders earns second consecutive safety award

Posted

Wiedenbauer Builders has been recognized with an Acuity Safety Award for the second consecutive year, continuing to reflect the company’s commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being.

According to Tom Hunn, loss control representative at Acuity Mutual Insurance Company, less than 1% of contracting insureds earn this award.

For owner Fred Wiedenbauer, the award is less about recognition and more about the people who make it possible.

“This award belongs to our team,” said Wiedenbauer. “Safety is so much more than checking off a training requirement once a year. Every member of our team makes safety a priority every day, every moment on the job.”

The company has developed a culture where safety is part of everyday operations.

“As a company, we take steps big and small to support our guys and keep them safe,” Wiedenbauer said. “We care about them deeply. They are like family to us, and it’s much easier to prevent an accident than to deal with a catastrophic loss after the fact.”
One of the company’s guiding principles is situational awareness, encouraging employees to stay alert to their surroundings and recognize potential hazards before they become problems.

“We’ve built our business on doing things the right way,” Wiedenbauer said. “And ensuring everyone stays safe is the right way to do things.”

Beyond safety, Wiedenbauer takes pride in the lasting impact the company leaves on both homes and the people they serve.

“When I look back, I can truly say we’ve provided a good service and built positive relationships,” he said. “When we’re done working on a project, those relationships last. I’m proud not only of the homes we’ve built that will be enjoyed for generations, but also of the relationships we’ve built along the way.”

Founded in 2012, building lasting relationships is a cornerstone of Wiedenbauer Builders. One way that’s on display is in its long-standing relationship with Klinner Insurance.

“We’ve had the privilege of working with the Wiedenbauer family for many years, and one thing that has never changed is their commitment to the people around them,” said Nic Weight, vice president of Klinner Insurance. “Their loyalty to their employees, customers, and community has helped build a business that people trust, and we’re proud to see them recognized for the values they’ve demonstrated throughout the years.”

Wiedenbauer Builders specializes in turnkey custom-built homes throughout northern Wisconsin. Every project is thoughtfully designed and built to reflect each customer’s unique vision, including homes featuring reclaimed barnwood and vintage siding.

The family-owned business is led by Fred and Sandy Wiedenbauer, alongside their sons, Fred Jr. and Nathan.
