The Boulder Junction Public Library invites the public to view their November Art in the Library exhibit featuring the art of the Lakeland Art League’s members starting on Nov. 4.
The Lakeland Art League exhibit will showcase member artists of varying levels of expertise. The mediums may include watercolor, oil, pastel, acrylic and more. The show features a variety of North Woods artwork.
The Artists’ Reception will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23, between 12:30 - 2 p.m. At this event, the Art League will be presenting small original paintings — referred to as “Itty Bitty Beauties” — that members have painted and contributed as a fundraiser for the league. The reception is free and open to all. It provides the public with the opportunity to view the artwork on display and meet many of the artists. Light refreshments will be served.
The Lakeland Art League (LAL) is a social organization promoting visual arts in North Central Wisconsin offering educational programs, workshops, scholarships, and art events. LAL provides workshops from April until October. These are free to members and open to the public for a small fee. They meet monthly to plan and socialize, sharing their ideas and their art. Other activities of interest in which members can participate are sponsored art exhibits, exhibit openings, venues for sales opportunities, and field trips to various art-related events.
