This past weekend over 45,000 people flooded Eagle River and the Vilas County Fairgrounds for the 44th annual Cranberry Festival where there was an arts and crafts fair, tents to sample cranberry-themed beers, wines and foods and chances to purchase the beloved red berry in many forms. There were also tours of cranberry bogs at Lake Nokomis Cranberry, where there was cranberry wine tastings for those over 21 years of age.
