Denim & Dessert Readers’ Theatre will perform “No Body Like Jimmy” on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18 - 19, at 7 p.m. at the Presque Isle Community Center.

This is the troupe’s 20th year of offering free entertainment to the Northwoods community. Here’s the plot:

On the evening of Ralph and Eloise Vanlandingham’s political fundraising dinner, Ralph’s best friend from college, Harold, shows up with a problem. Harold has a dead body in the back of his van and he needs a place to stash “Jimmy.” Harold’s timing couldn’t be worse as the Vanlandinghams are expecting a house full of major campaign donors in about five, four, three, two...

Admission is free, though donations are gratefully accepted. No reservations are necessary; first come best seats. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with a cash beverage bar and, after the show, complimentary coffee and desserts are served.

The Community Center is located at 8306 School Loop Road up the hill from County B in downtown Presque Isle. Call 715-904-9063 for info.
