As new additions are coming to KinderWild Camp (KWC), a nature-based program for children ages 3-5, enrollment opens up for the winter program.
Preschoolers can now attend two mornings per week, Thursdays and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., at Trees For Tomorrow (TFT) beginning with KWC’s winter program from Jan. 16 - Feb. 13, 2025. The cost is just $35 per child per day, with online registration.
“One of my favorite parts of KinderWild is watching the kids discover something new about nature,” says Amie Raynor, KinderWild teacher. “I’ll never forget the look on little Mia’s face when she spotted her first deer tracks in the snow — she was absolutely fascinated! Moments like that make all the difference. This program gives children a chance to explore, ask questions, and really connect with the world around them in ways they might not get to otherwise. It’s amazing to see how much confidence and curiosity they gain each week.”
KinderWild is a nature-based program that focuses on children learning about nature, animals, and the fun things that the natural world has to offer. It isn’t just another program — it’s an adventure. The following are some activities open to KinderWild attendees:
• Outdoor Exploration: With access to forest trails, a spacious play field, and a Nature PlayScape (playground), KinderWild lets children explore, run and climb. The activities bring out their inner explorers while engaging them in safe, supervised play.
• Live Animal Ambassadors: KinderWild offers children the chance to meet and learn about TFT’s animal ambassadors, sparking curiosity about wildlife and nature in an up-close, interactive way.
• Imaginative Play: The Natural PlayScape encourages children to let their imaginations run wild, building creativity and confidence through unstructured play. They can dig, build and create while connecting with nature.
• Indoor and Outdoor Classrooms: Though TFT has a cozy indoor classroom for the cold days, activities flow between indoors and outdoors, adapting to the winter landscape and making each session unique.
• Celebration of Big Voices and Big Smiles: At KinderWild Camp, they say, “Use your outside voices!” Children are free to be themselves and enjoy the thrill of learning through nature’s wonders.
