HallowFest announced in downtown Eagle River

The Eagle River Chamber of Commerce recently announced the date and lineup of activities for their annual HallowFest on Saturday, Oct. 26.

This event will take place in downtown Eagle River from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., with free movies starting at 1:30 p.m. at Vilas Cinema.

Registration for the Business Treasure Hunt begins at 11 a.m. at Rotary Square, across from Vilas Cinema.

Families will be able to wander the streets, finding participating businesses who will “treat” children with goodies and stamp their Treasure Map. The completed map will qualify for the prize drawings.

The Costume Contest will be at 12:30 p.m., with prizes for the best costumes in three different age groups.

Other activities include a dance performance by Chain O’ Dance Studio, Eagle River Lions Club goody bags, a prize spinning wheel, and free movies at Vilas Cinema.

“This event is free to families with young children,” said Kathy Holperin, Chamber coordinator of the event. “We are delighted to provide a day of family fun and hope that area children will enjoy HallowFest.”

HallowFest will take place rain, snow or shine. For more information, contact the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce at 715-479-6400 or visit www.eagleriver.org.
