Posted

The Headwaters Council for the Performing Arts has announced its 44th season of live entertainment at the Northland Pines High School Auditorium in Eagle River, featuring six performances from August through May. All performances are on Saturdays and begin at 7 p.m.

The season opens Aug. 29 with “Tennessee Whiskey Revival,” a celebration of modern country music featuring the music of Chris Stapleton and other contemporary country artists performed by Scott Kirby and his band.

On Oct. 10, “Ikons of Rock” will feature classic rock hits performed by a live band with powerhouse vocals and musicianship.

“Alive Again,” a tribute to the band Chicago, comes to the stage Nov. 7, recreating the group’s signature blend of rock, pop and jazz.

The lineup continues Dec. 5 with “Celtic Angels Christmas,” featuring Irish music, choreography and Christmas favorites performed by an internationally acclaimed cast.

After a winter break, performances resume April 10 with “Yesterday and Today — The Interactive Beatles Experience,” an audience-driven tribute allowing concertgoers to help choose the evening’s set list.

The season concludes May 15 with “The ‘70s Show” featuring Jim Witter, who returns to Eagle River to perform hits from the decade while sharing stories behind the music.

Season tickets, which include admission to all six performances, are available for $135 through hcpapresents.com or by calling ticket director Debbie Poulopoulos at 630-712-0530.

Individual tickets are $35 and may be purchased online at hcpapresents.com, at Eagle River Roasters beginning about three weeks before each performance or at the door one hour before showtime. All seating is general admission, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
