Helena Roerdink
Helena Roerdink, age 107, passed away on September 17, 2026, at Legacy of the Northwoods in Eagle River.
Helena was born October 12, 1918, in the Town of Holland, Sheboygan County, WI. She was born to John and Paulena (Gabrielse) Theune.
Helena graduated from the Wisconsin Memorial Academy in Cedar Grove in 1936. She also graduated from Sheboygan Business College in 1937. Helena was then employed in the office of State Foundry, Cedar Grove, from 1937 to 1942.
On August 16, 1946, she married Howard Roerdink. In 1948, they moved to Milwaukee, and Helena was a secretary at Nordberg/Rexnord until her retirement in 1980. They then moved to Eagle River when they retired.
Helena is survived by her goddaughter, Sue (Tim) Sting; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
Helena is preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents; grandparents; and friends.
A memorial is being established in Helena’s name for the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Eagle River.
A celebration of life will take place on October 17, 2026, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Eagle River. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., with the service at 11:00 a.m.
