Three Lakes senior Libby Eppler is a senior captain on this year’s girls soccer team. She is one of six seniors on the Bluejays’ squad, which has grown in numbers over the last few seasons. When she is not on the pitch, you can find Eppler on the basketball court, or when she is not actively playing sports, she enjoys hanging out with friends and crafting and painting. After high school, Eppler wants to pursue a career in nursing to become a pediatric nurse. Here is more on the Three Lakes senior:
Do you have a nickname that your friends or family call you?
“My friend’s nickname for me is Candace. This nickname originated from a funny video we all watched together, and the nickname then just stuck.”
Do you participate in any other sports besides soccer?
Is there a personal goal you have on the field this year?
“I would like to work on my touches and more direct passing. As a captain, I also want to create a welcoming environment for all my teammates and bring a positive attitude onto the field.”
What other hobbies do you have outside of sports?
“I really enjoy being outside and hanging out with my friends. When I have the time, I also enjoy doing little crafts or watercoloring.”
Favorite vacation spot that you’ve been to?
“Seaside Fla., is my favorite vacation spot. My family and I have been going there for seven years now, and it is still so fun. It is a beautiful town on the ocean, filled with lots of fun places to shop or eat.”
Do you have a pregame ritual that helps you before your games?
“Before games, I like to listen to some music and think about any personal goals I have for the upcoming game. I also try to eat a healthy, filling meal before each game to fuel my body for all the running.”
Do you have any plans for after high school? College?
