Three Lakes senior Grayson Polcaster is currently just getting his senior golf season underway. When he isn’t on the links, he wears the Bluejays jersey on the pitch in the fall and on the basketball court in the winter. When he graduates later this month, he plans to attend a four-year university and play competitive golf. Here is more on the Three Lakes senior:
Do you have a nickname that your friends or family call you?
“GP or Phil.”
Do you participate in any other sports besides golf?
Do you have a personal goal on the course this year?
“Personal goals this year on the course are to qualify for the state tournament and win conference player of the year. Be a respectable player, person and teammate, and do everything I possibly can to get better every day and prove myself and all the hard work I’ve put into this game.”
What other hobbies do you have outside of sports?
“I love to fish and hunt and hang out with friends as much as possible. Really enjoy being outside and staying active as much as I can.”
Favorite vacation spot that you’ve been to?
“Favorite vacation spot was Hilton Head Island. Beautiful golf courses and area in general, kind of the first time I played golf and really fell in love with it on that vacation.”
Do you have a pregame ritual that helps you before your matches?
“I get loose, stretch and listen to some music, try to keep my mind from wandering and really focus on what’s in front of me. I prepare myself for the course and the conditions I have to face that day.”
Do you have any plans for after high school? College? Do you want to play a sport in college?
