Northwoods Share, Inc. (NWS) is hosting a free Thanksgiving community dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 19, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Town Hall in Eagle River.
The meal will be catered by Aspirus and Howard Young Hospitals, marking the 20th year that the hospital has sponsored a Thanksgiving dinner for anyone in the community to come and share together.
Appetizers start at 4:30 p.m., when doors open, followed by the turkey dinner served at 5:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to give a free will offering if anyone wants to.
NWS is a nonprofit organization with a Needs Ministry that provides a pantry with free paper products and soaps, along with personal care items and clothing, to assist families in this community. There is also a program called ICHELP that helps financially and assists families in budgeting with spending journals. There is a 24-hour phone for emergencies at (715) 891-8966.
NWS recently opened its first Esther’s House as a transitional home for moms and their children. For more information, visit www.NorthwoodsShare.org.
