Registration opens for Trees’ annual candlelight hike

Trees for Tomorrow (TFT) will be wrapping up 2024 with their annual New Year’s Eve Candlelit Snowshoe/Hike and Bonfire on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 5:30 - 8 p.m.

All ages are invited to stroll or snowshoe along a forest trail that twinkles under a canopy of glowing tealights.

This half-mile path winds through TFT’s 40-acre campus, and snowshoes are optional since the trail is packed down. When it’s time to warm up, cozy up by the outdoor fire and indulge in complimentary s’mores and hot cocoa.

“It’s a truly magical night,” said program coordinator Bethany Heft. “Guests are welcome to drop in anytime during the event and enjoy the trail at their own pace. My favorite part? Gathering around the campfire afterward and visiting with new and old friends!”

At just $5 per person, a ticket includes a cup of hot chocolate and a pre-wrapped s’mores kit (while supplies last). Children 5 and under are free.

To reserve a spot, pre-registration is available on TFT’s website ahead of the event at www.TreesForTomorrow.com or by calling the main office at 715-479-6456. While it is not required to pre-register, it helps to speed up the process and ensure that those interested receive a reminder email prior to the event.
