Trees For Tomorrow (TFT) is offering two wreath-making classes on Nov. 9th for those looking to get crafty for the holiday season.
The first session will run from 8 - 11:30 a.m. and is for adults only, while the second session, from 1 - 4:30 p.m., is open to all ages (5 years of age and older encouraged).
Participants will begin by choosing their boughs from a pre-cut selection available outside for their wreaths, followed by expert-led indoor instruction on wreath making.
“There’s a communal aspect to building these wreaths together that’s always very fun,” says instructor Beth Heft. “And, once you learn the basics, it’s a skill that you’ll have every holiday season!”
Both sessions will include all necessary materials: a reusable wreath frame, wire, evergreen boughs, and decorative ribbon. Participants are asked to bring their own gardening gloves, pruners and wire cutters. A snack cart with complementary tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be available inside the classroom. In addition to wreath-making, participants will receive an introduction to tree species identification.
Registration is $55 per person/session and participants are welcome to bring an additional person to help build their wreath for $30 per person.
Restrooms and a water fountain will be available on-site.
Preregistration is required, and space is limited. Interested individuals can register online at https://www.treesfortomorrow.com/Current-Activities/ or by calling Trees for Tomorrow’s main office at 715-479-6456.
