Youth Entrepreneurship Market begins June 20

The first Youth Entrepreneurship Market (YEM!) event of the summer is set for Friday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rotary Square in Eagle River.

The market, hosted by the Eagle River Revitalization Program, is meant to “showcase the talent and creativity of young entrepreneurs from the North Woods area.”

Entrepreneurs aged 10-17 can participate in the market, and the event is meant to teach young entrepreneurs various business skills, marketing and how to promote their businesses, goods and services.

The Friday market will include unique items and services such as live music, knife sharpening, car detailing, original artwork, henna tattoos, woodworking, handmade sugar scrubs, handcrafted beverages, babysitting, jewelry, homemade baked goods, custom deigned golf balls, blacksmithing, handmade fishing lures, hand-tied blankets, balloon tying, 3D printed items and more.
